When it was announced that our Queen, Beyoncé and Jay Z would be the new faces of Tiffany and Co. the excitement and buzz around the campaign was high. When the first photos and advertisements were released along with an image of a never before seen in public Jean-Michel Basquiat piece, I got really excited. But what really caught my attention was the coming film, directed by Emmanuel Adjei. That short film was released today and the vulnerability and softness is seen throughout as Beyoncé sings the Breakfast at Tiffany’s classic “Moon River” at a piano as Jay Z lovingly looks on and catches the moment on a super 8 camera, all while images of the separated couple growing closer to a reunion are interspersed throughout. Great marketing? Yes! Great representation of black love? Yes! Beautiful? But, of course! Check out the video below.
