Max Mara to Celebrate Detroit Native with the Max Mara Young Visionary Award
We LOVE Max Mara! They’re the go to boutique for classic pieces that every wardrobe needs. And, with the Max Mara Young Visionary Award they’re upping the ante.
The first recipient of the award will be Javon Jones, a Detroit native! He is a contemporary ballet dancer, currently attending Cass Technical High School. On winning the award Jovan said, “I am so happy and honored to win this award. It means that I am doing what I hoped for. To reach out and say “Hey! There is a future for creative, innovative, and hungry artists.”

The Max Mara Young Visionary Award is in partnership with the National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) and is an accolade reserved for an exceptional YoungArts winner at the highest financial award level of $10,000. The award financially supports a young artist to develop their craft and aims to foster arts education and encourage young artists to further their artistic development.
YoungArts was established to identify and nurture the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts, and assist them at critical junctures in their education and professional development.
Max Mara will celebrate Javon Jones on March 31st with a cocktail event in the Troy boutique within the Somerset Collection.
