Mo Pop Festival 2017 : Day 2

July 31, 2017 by Phashion Phish

Starting day 2 with Arkells was the perfect idea! His set was great and his saying Detroit in a French accent was icing on the cake! He also jumped into the crowd, which was CRAZY! It took the energy up a few notches for sure!

Tyler the Creator’s set was CRAZY!! I know people will frequently say a crowd was hype, but they rocked with him from START TO FINISH! There was so much energy and as he busted out songs from his new album, “Title”, they knew all of the words. I’ve had a chance to see Tyler previously, with a more expansive set, but the stripped down stage really set a tone for his performance, one that was really intimate with the audience considering the size. He also professed his love for Bruno Mars’ “That’s what I like”. I mean who DOESN’T love that song.

Alt-J’s stage was AMAZING! I believe that a stage is an integral part of the performance and they didn’t disappoint. It was clear that they were the artist people came to see, and they gave their all!
